Hi, I'm Mari.

I’m a freelance writer and editor based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

My career has taken a number of twists and turns as a public school teacher, yoga instructor, birth professional, and now freelance writer and editor. Writing and editing have always served as strong foundations in each of my roles, whether to write blog posts, create curriculum, or market my services.

A little more about me:

I have a B.A. in Spanish and Hispanic Studies from Colorado College and an M.A. in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Denver. I lived in Colorado for 12 years before returning home to Minneapolis, where I live with my husband, kids, and rescue dog, Copper.

Winter is my favorite season and I love the extreme weather of my home state of Minnesota. Give me all the snow to play outside in, then meet me by the fire with a cozy pair of slippers, endless cups of coffee, and a good murder mystery to read. We’ll be friends forever.
