2017 is drawing to a close and it’s time to celebrate the successes of 2017 and take a peek at what’s on the docket for 2018. It was a huge year of transition for my family: adding another baby, moving (multiple times!), and adjusting to new jobs. I was hit pretty hard with postpartum depression and anxiety following the birth of my daughter, but I’m doing much better now. I’ll write more about this in a separate post because I think the only way to remove the stigma around postpartum mental health is to talk honestly about our experiences.
Here’s a run-down on my work life and what’s coming up in 2018:
Birth: In January I started working at Blooma as a childbirth educator. It has been a really wonderful way to dive into the birth community, meet some awesome people, and continue to learn about birth. I teach a childbirth education class, a VBAC class, and a Process Your Birth workshop. In a few weeks I will start a training to become a Lactation Educator Counselor, and then I will be adding classes in breastfeeding education and support. I took limited doula clients this past year but will start taking clients with due dates in the summer of 2018.
Life Coaching: I love, love, love to use my gift to help others live more fulfilling, purposeful lives. I’m working towards less of a traditional intuitive reading model and focusing more on using energy work to compliment life coaching sessions. I want to work with YOU if you are looking to create positive change and live in alignment with your higher purpose. More details are here if you are interested in a session in the new year.
Writing: I published a number of blogs on both my own website and on Blooma’s blog. I have so much to write about and my main goal for 2018 is to set aside more time to write, whether about birth, readings, motherhood, or just whatever I feel like.
Wishing you peace, health, and purpose in 2018.
xo,
Mari
